Tetley believes that future growth lies in forging close relationships with its customers.

Our brief, in the words of our client, was to “build a site that enabled us to have enduring conversations with our consumers in a way that reflects our warm and welcoming brand personality”.

While Tetley is a household brand in Britain, it also has a popular global following. The website had to celebrate this, and recognise how people throughout the world drink tea in different ways and on different occasions.

Animating the stories

The website had to be built with technical simplicity in mind so that it would be accessible to audiences throughout the world. Flash was not an option as search engine optimisation was key. So our solution used ingenious html animated ‘journeys’ instead, to illuminate the four main sections of the website. The aim was for the visitor to travel through landscapes and flow across objects before landing on their destination of choice.

An illustrated journey

The site covers four main sections:‘Our Teas’, ‘Over a Cuppa’, ‘Tea Expert’ and ‘About Us’. These were then brought to life by the accomplished skills of illustrator Lara Harwood.
