Working with Wasa, Sweden’s leading crispbread manufacturer, for over eight years, allowed us to work on individual projects while simultaneously creating and developing an effective masterbrand.

Gaining valuable consumer insight into the project (especially FMCG) is essential before we start any design process.

Take Maltidsknacke, a range that we discovered is eaten traditionally as an accompaniment to family meals. Given that the structural packaging was crockery size and shape, we looked at the packaging differently: placing the emphasis on the meal instead of the product.

We never let an opportunity pass us by. Although briefed to redesign the main pack range, we saw value in creating a new identity; one that could evolve from the previous royal crown mark, yet build on Wasa’s wholegrain heritage.

We always aim to exceed client expectations, even if it means lugging three presentation boxes across Stockholm.
