Ivory Press publishers were working alongside the V&A museum to produce a commemorative catalogue for Blood on Paper, a major exhibition of art works that celebrated the relationship between artist and publisher.
We were briefed to give each of the 41 featured artists equal prominence and showcase their individual pieces of work. Given free licence, we reimagined the format of an exhibition catalogue by producing a ‘portfolio box’ showing each artist’s work as an individual item. The loose-leaf gatefold pages meant the owner of each box was able to frame the facsimile artworks individually if they choose to, or simply keep the collection intact to enjoy as an exquisite memento of the exhibition.
